Mountie hit by vehicle during traffic stop in Delta

The BC RCMP says one of its highway patrol officers was hit during an attempted traffic stop in Delta Saturday morning.

Mounties say the officer was trying to pull somone over near Highway 91 and 72nd Ave just after 10:30 a.m.

The RCMP confirms a member of the B.C Highway Patrol was rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say they are on the hunt for the driver involved, as the suspect drove away from the scene after hitting the officer.
