New West police recommend 40 charges for B&E suspect

The New Westminster Police Department says it is recommending 40 charges for a suspect who has been arrested in connection with six break-and-enter investigations.

“One of these investigations began in an underground parking garage where police found 10 different vehicles broken into,” Sgt. Andrew Leaver said.

In addition, the suspect was found to be breaching several court-ordered conditions.

The suspect remains in custody, the New West PD says.

Anyone who sees a break and enter in progress should call 911, Leaver says.
