North Vancouver police investigate after victim robbed at knifepoint

The North Vancouver RCMP says it is investigating a robbery that involved a victim being chased by a subject armed with a knife.

Police say the victim was approached by a stranger at Fell Avenue and Marine Drive around 11:30 Wednesday morning.

“So far, what we know is that the victim was at that corner, and the suspect approached them and held a knife and demanded their phone,” Cpl. Mansoor Sahak told 1130 NewsRadio.

Sahak says the victim refused and was then chased by the suspect with a knife. The suspect then ran away and was arrested shortly afterwards and is now facing charges of robbery.

Mounties say there may be an additional victim who has not yet spoken to police.
