North Vancouver RCMP asks public for assistance in assault
The North Vancouver RCMP says it is investigating an assault that occurred around 12 p.m. on Wednesday.
Mounties say the altercation happened between a taxi driver and a passerby near the intersection of West 1st Street and Pemberton Avenue.
Police are now asking the public for assistance in understanding what exactly happened.
Anyone who witnessed the assault is asked to call the North Vancouver police.
“At this point, we’re asking for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to come forward and provide a statement,” said North Vancouver RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mansoor Sahak.
“This was a public area there, so there are there were multiple people there in that area.”
Sahak says the suspect was arrested and the cab driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
