North Van’s Capilano Bridge to enter its Swiftie era
If you don’t have a ticket to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, but want to celebrate her Vancouver shows, the Capilano Suspension Bridge has the event for you.
The park will be hosting what it calls “Canyon Lights (Taylor’s Version)” from Dec. 5 to Dec. 9, transforming the iconic bridge into a “giant friendship bracelet.”
Letters of the word ‘fearless’ will hang from the 450 foot-long suspension bridge, in reference to the billionaire’s second studio album.
Organizers say the surrounding park will also feature a live tribute singer, food and drink inspired by the pop star, and chances to win Swiftie swag.
“Whether you’re a Red fan or 1989 loyalist, this experience is a love story to the Swiftie community during her final stop in Vancouver,” said the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
Canyon Lights is an annual event that runs from Nov. 22 to Jan. 19 this season.
Taylor Swift is scheduled to play three nights in Vancouver’s BC Place from Dec. 6 to Dec 8. The Dec. 8 show is currently the final performance scheduled, concluding the record-breaking Eras Tour.
