One in critical condition after stabbing in Surrey

The Surrey Police Service says a man with serious injuries was taken to the hospital after a stabbing in the Whalley neighbourhood.
Police say the victim walked into the police station at the southeast corner of King George Boulevard just before 4 p.m.
He had serious injuries to his torso, and the police officers immediately provided emergency medical intervention. He was then taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Surrey police officers identified the likely location of the stabbing north of King George Boulevard and 105A Avenue. While canvassing for evidence and witnesses, they apprehended a person of interest. At this preliminary stage, it remains unclear whether any other suspects are at large.
Several callers to 1130 News Radio reported a large police presence along King George Boulevard.
Police say officers, assisted by investigative support unit detectives, remain on the scene. They are currently looking for witnesses and evidence.
