One taken to hospital after crash in New West Thursday evening

One person was taken to hospital after a two-car collision in the intersection of McBride Boulevard and East 6th Avenue in New Westminster Thursday evening.
BC Emergency Health Services says it was called to the area just before 6:30 p.m.
“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in stable condition,” BCEHS said.
The New Westminster Police Department says one of the vehicles flipped over as a result of the crash.
“Both drivers remained on scene and cooperated with the police investigation,” New West PD said.
“Impairment is not believed to be a factor, and one of the drivers is under investigation for Motor Vehicle Act offences.”
Police say injuries were minor, and the road has since reopened.
