Pedestrian struck and killed by tractor trailer at Hwy. 7 and Islington in Vaughan
York Regional Police say a pedestrian who was struck by a tractor trailer at the intersection of Highway 7 and Islington Avenue in Vaughan on Thursday night died at the scene.
The fatal collision happened at around 7:22 p.m.
Police say the driver failed to remain, but was arrested a short time later.
There’s no word yet on charges and no information about the victim has been released.
The intersection remains closed in all directions while police investigate.
