Pistachio Dubai chocolate bar recalled due to Salmonella concerns

The Canadian Food inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for the pistachio-flavoured Dubai chocolate bar made by Oasis Treasures due to a possible Salmonella contamination.

The recall is being applied to the chocolate bar being sold across most of Canada, except Nunavut and Yukon.

The 340-gram bars have a code of “25-JL-25″ and were sold at Showcase stores.

Health officials are asking people to throw out the chocolate or return it to the store where it was purchased.

The CFIA is advising people to contact your health-care provider if you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product.

They also say that food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the chocolate bar.
