police ask for public assistance
The White Rock RCMP is looking for a man in connection with a sexual assault on Friday.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. near Everall Street and Prospect Avenue.
Police say the victim was punched and groped before the suspect fled through the park.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a 30 to 40-year-old man, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a grey hoodie, Khaki pants, and white shoes.
Based on the initial information, investigators believe that this was an unprovoked assault.
“Given the violent nature of this assault, we are encouraging members of our community to exercise vigilance while our investigators work to identify and locate the suspect,” said White Rock RCMP Staff Sgt. Rob Dixon.
