New Westminster police are asking for the public’s help identifying three suspects after a robbery in Moody Park last week.

The New Westminster Police Department says officers were called to help two men in the park’s lacrosse rink around 5:20 p.m.

The victims reported having been approached by a group of three young people.

“One of the youth punched the victim in the face before stealing cash from his wallet. Police searched the area for people matching the suspect descriptions, however no one could be located,” said a police statement Tuesday.

The three suspects are described as young men, approximately 18 years old. The first suspect stood approximately 5’11” tall, wearing a red sweatshirt. The second suspect was wearing blue jeans. The third suspect was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, a yellow puffer vest, and riding a black electric scooter.

The NWPD is asking members of the public to come forward if they have information about the incident or believe they can identify any of the suspects.

If you have something to share, including CCTV or dashcam footage, you’re asked to call 604-525-5411 and reference file 25-18173.
