Police investigating house fire in Brampton, 1 man injured

Peel Regional Police are investigating the circumstances of a house fire in Brampton that left one man injured.

Brampton fire crews and police officers were called to a residence in the Hillcrest Avenue and Truman Street area at around 1 a.m. on Tuesday for reports of a two-alarm fire.

Police said a male victim was located and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson tells The Leader Spirit that authorities are working with Brampton Fire to determine the cause of the early-morning blaze.

No other injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
