Shots fired at home in Delta overnight resulted in no injuries, police say.

The Delta Police Department (DPD) says an unknown suspect fired at a home on 92 Avenue near 114 Street just before 3 a.m. Tuesday. Police confirmed the home was occupied at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured.

“This shooting is believed to be targeted at the home; however, the reason for the shooting and the identity of the suspect remains unknown. At this time, it is still undetermined if this incident is gang-related,” the department said.

92 Avenue remained closed well into the morning as police investigated.

In an update around 10:30 a.m., the DPD says it is now looking for witnesses to the shooting. Those in the area at the time or those with CCTV or dashcam footage are asked to contact the Delta Police at (604)946-4411 and quote file number 2024-22324.

“This shooting is Delta’s second recorded shooting of 2024,” said Insp. James Sandberg. “There is no indication that these two incidents are related.”
