Police search for man, 43, wanted in alleged assault at TTC subway station

Toronto police are searching for a man wanted in connection with an assault at an east-end TTC station earlier this month.

Police say the man was in Broadview subway station on December 4 when he allegedly assaulted another person, stealing and damaging their personal property before fleeing the scene.

Investigators have identified the suspect as 43-year-old Gerrard Purcell of Toronto. He is wanted for assault, mischief under $5,000 and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Purcell is described as being five-foot-seven, 140 pounds, bald with a thin build, clean-shaven and brown eyes.
