RCMP arrested 44-year-old in connection with death in Bridal Falls

A 44-year-old man faces murder charges in connection with a death in May this year near Bridal Falls.

According to the RCMP, officers were called to do a wellness check on a 42-year-old man at a property along Bridal Falls Road.

Upon arrival, Mounties discovered the man dead inside a trailer.

The death was initially not considered suspicious, but circumstances changed nearly a week later, prompting a homicide investigation conducted by the BC Coroners Service.

The suspect, Omer Ibrahim, is a resident of the Lower Mainland. He has now been charged with second-degree murder.

The case is now before the courts.
