Same Surrey residence was shot at three times in December; police investigate
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says that one residence has been targeted by gunfire on three different occasions this month.
Officers responded to the three reported incidents, which occurred on Dec. 7, 27, and 28 near 140A Street in the city’s Guildford neighbourhood.
Each time, the residence was shot at in the early hours of the day, between 3:05 a.m. and 8:21 a.m.
Investigators assume that the incidents are not related to any B.C. gang conflict or extortions, which have plagued Surrey and other Lower Mainland municipalities this year.
Police suspect that a resident living in the building is being targeted.
The RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU), which has taken over the investigation, adds that the shots were fired from a vehicle, with bullets striking various parts of the residence.
No injuries have been reported, and police say that they have not made any arrests yet.
They also ask the public for assistance in providing dash-cam and security footage of the area if available.
