Issues causing major delays on the SkyTrain’s Expo Line Thursday evening, leading to service being suspended between Joyce and Royal Oak Stations, have been resolved.

TransLink says service was suspended just before 5 p.m. due to a medical emergency. It then set up a bus bridge between Joyce, Patterson, Metrotown, and Royal Oak Stations. Just after 9:30 p.m., it announced that the disruption was resolved and regular service was resumed.

Drivers in the area experienced major delays, as traffic in the surrounding area was extremely heavy.

The Leader Spirit received calls from people reporting extremely long lines for those waiting for the bus bridge.
