Two people waiting for a bus were injured after a vehicle drove off the road into a hydro pole Saturday evening, the Surrey Police Service (SPS) says.

Police were called to the intersection of King George Boulevard and 76th Avenue just before 6:30 p.m.

Both pedestrians were taken to hospital, one in serious condition.

The SPS says the driver remained at the scene. The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Any witnesses or anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage is asked to call the SPS at 604-599-0502 and refer to file 2025-79949 (SP).
