Police in Surrey believe there may be more victims involved as they investigate two people suspected of child exploitation.

In October 2024, the Surrey RCMP’s Special Victims Unit reportedly began investigating offences related to child sexual abuse that started in 2021.

Police have arrested a man and a woman related to the investigation. Earlier this month, the BC Prosecution Service approved charges for 28-year-old Carter Cooke and 21-year-old Tkhu Khyonh “Mika” Nhuien.

Cooke is charged with accessing, possessing, and distributing child pornography. Both are charged with sexual interference of a person under 16 years, luring a child under 18 years, and making child pornography.

Now, the Surrey Police Service (SPS) is appealing to the public for help identifying more potential victims. The SPS did not disclose how the suspects allegedly contacted their victims, but released photos of the two.

“Investigators are hoping that by releasing images of the two accused parties, that people will know who they are and [if they] have had interactions with them in their life,” Sgt. Tige Pollock told 1130 NewsRadio.

“If somebody does know these people, they can contact our investigators and… lead them to a course of questioning that may allow investigators to identify further victims or witnesses to these offences.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Surrey Police Service’s non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-156955 (SU).
