The Surrey RCMP says one man was arrested and 700 pounds of illicit cannabis, weapons, and over $100,000 in cash were seized from a West Vancouver home last month.

Mounties say the investigation began when officers busted a shipping business in north Surrey and seized four large boxes of illicit cannabis in September.

Later that month, police reportedly intercepted a second shipment at the same location, including 170 pounds of illicit cannabis.

On Oct. 10, the Surrey RCMP Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Stevens Drive in West Vancouver. Police say they arrested a 29-year-old man and seized the following items:

  • $145,000 in cash;
  • More than 1,000 chocolate psilocybin bars;
  • Four kilograms of psilocybin;
  • 700 pounds of dried cannabis;
  • Three shotguns;
  • Three submachine guns;
  • And ammunition.

The Surrey RCMP says the investigation is ongoing.
