Surrey shooting leaves 1 hurt: RCMP

The Surrey RCMP says one person was seriously hurt after a shooting in the city’s Guildford area Sunday.

Mounties were called to the area of 152 Street and 101 Avenue just after 6 p.m. for reports that shots had been fired. When they arrived, they found the victim.

No arrests have been announced but investigators say initial indications are that this was “an isolated incident.”

Police spent some time canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking with witnesses Sunday evening.

The Surrey RCMP is asking anyone with video from the area of 152 Street and 101 Avenue between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday to contact investigators at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-23721.
