Suspects in custody after man shot in Abbotsford, his vehicle stolen

A man is in hospital after he was shot and his vehicle was stolen Saturday evening in Abbotsford.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery on Townline Road near Blueridge Drive just after 7 p.m. Saturday, where they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital, but it is not known how badly he was injured.

Abbotsford police say they found the man’s vehicle in Coquitlam, and then found and arrested the suspects, with the help of the RCMP.

AbbyPD hasn’t said how many suspects were arrested or whether or not there was a connection between them and the victim, but it says there is believed to be no risk to the public.

Police say the investigation is still in its early stages.
