TransLink says it is testing a new app that will integrate transit, carshare, and bikeshare services.

It says the new app, called RideLink, is intended to coordinate trip planning for those riding transit in the Lower Mainland in a single platform, combining services with Evo, Modo, and Mobi by Rogers.

Translink says the app will feature real-time information about bike and vehicle locations and simplify booking and payment.

It also says an upgrated Compass Card will be available to use for all of these services. This follows a 2019 test pilot project that also saw a single card working on all of these services using one integrated billing account. At the time, 60 per cent of participants said they reduced their personal vehicle use while they were taking part in the project.

The transportation authority says it is looking for 1,300 volunteers to test the app. Participants need to be over 19 years old and have a valid credit card and a smartphone.
