Two people injured after dispute involving a knife in Delta

Delta police say two people have been taken to hospital after a dispute involving a knife Friday.

Officers were called to the area of 81A Avenue near 116th Street around 4 p.m., where they found a 34-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.

A 37-year-old man — who was located in a basement suite — was found with a knife wound.

“The woman is in stable condition, while the man has been released from hospital and is currently in police custody,” Delta PD said.

“Charges have not yet been sworn.”

Both victims are residents of Delta and are known to each other, police say.
