Anyone still looking to buy tickets for the Vancouver Goldeneyes’ home opener Friday is out of luck.

The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) says the game, which will see the city’s new team go up against the Seattle Torrent, was officially sold out this week.

The league first announced expansion to Vancouver in April, amid its second season. Expansion to Seattle was announced later that month, making eight total teams.

“A new era launches in the West Coast with the official debut of the league’s first-ever expansion teams,” the PWHL said.

The name and logo of Vancouver’s first PWHL team were unveiled on Nov. 6 by Mayor Ken Sim, who officially proclaimed Nov. 21 to be “Goldeneyes Day” in Vancouver.

Tickets for future Goldeneyes home games are also selling out quickly, with prices ranging from $45 to $140.

Vancouver’s next home game is on Dec. 6 against the New York Sirens.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. Friday at the Pacific Coliseum.
