Vancouver Island police investigating goat suspected killed by dogs

The Nanaimo RCMP is investigating after a goat was killed in what’s believed to be an attack by dogs earlier this month.

Allegedly, two large dogs entered an unfenced property in the village of Cedar, southeast of Nanaimo, and attacked a goat.

The owner told police that his animal later died of its injuries.

Police believe the fogs to be a Rottweiler and Rottweiler-pit bull mix.

Investigators talked to the homeowner about security measures and suggested using social media to find out who owns the dogs.
