Vancouver stabbing charges laid
Vancouver police say a suspect has been charged in connection with a stabbing outside of a shelter in 2023 that left one person dead.
It happened outside a shelter near Yukon Street and West 5th Avenue in Vancouver’s Fairview neighbourhood on Jan. 8. Police say there was some sort of altercation, which resulted in Jason Robert St. Anne being stabbed.
The 40-year-old was taken to the hospital but did not survive.
A 28-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody until his next court appearance.
The VPD says Dillon Goth has been charged with one count of manslaughter.
