Canada’s biggest night in music is coming back to Vancouver, with the city set to host the 2025 Juno Awards next year.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced on Thursday that the 54th edition of the awards will take place at Rogers Arena on March 30, 2025.

This will mark the fifth time Vancouver has played host to event.

“It takes a village and this village totally rocks. Vancouver rocks and the Junos in 2025 are going to rock as well. Let’s enjoy the build up and it’s going to be a great event,” and enthusiastic Mayor Ken Sim said Thursday.

“On behalf of the City of Vancouver, we want to thank you for putting this together, making it possible.”

Sim says he’s excited about a number of things the Junos will bring, including the economic benefits for the city.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences says the Junos, which have been touring across Canada for more than 20 years, have an average economic impact of $12 million for the host city.

The last time the Juno Awards came to Vancouver was in 2018, when Burnaby native Michael Bublé hosted the show.

This year’s event, hosted by Nelly Furtado, will be held in Halifax on March 24. Last year’s ceremony was held in Edmonton and hosted by Simu Liu.
