Vehicle fire near City Square Mall

Fire crews had to extinguish a burning vehicle on Friday in the underground parking garage of City Square Mall in Vancouver.

Matthew Trudeau, Public Information Officer at the Vancouver Fire Rescue Services, says the fire was extinguished quickly.

The damage was contained to the single vehicle.

Trudeau says the mall has reopened and no injuries have been reported.

Crews are still on scene to investigate the cause of the fire.

While westbound lanes were blocked on 12th Street earlier, all lanes in the area have reopened.
