Vehicles, homes damaged in North Surrey shooting

Police are investigating after an overnight shooting in North Surrey.

Officers were called to the area of 111th Avenue and 160th Street at around 12:30 a.m. Friday after a report of shots fired.

When they arrived, they found bullet casings and damage to two vehicles and two homes.

The person who reported hearing the shots told police there was a “distraught male” at the door.

Officers found the man and took him into custody.

“No injured persons were located,” police said.

This was the second shooting in Surrey within a short period of time.
