VPD looking for witnesses to serious collision involving pedestrian
Vancouver police are looking for the driver and any witnesses after a serious collision Friday that sent a 69-year-old woman to hospital.
Police say the woman was crossing Inverness Street at East 62nd Avenue just after 5:30 p.m. when she was hit by a white or silver four-door sedan.
“The driver of the sedan stayed with the pedestrian until paramedics arrived,” said VPD Const. Tania Visintin.
“Investigators have not spoken with him yet and are asking him or anyone who saw what happened to call police immediately.”
The woman remains in hospital in critical condition.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash cam footage is asked to call the VPD Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
