The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says it is investigating a serious collision in Stanley Park on June 15 that sent two people to hospital.

Just after 4 a.m., a black Chevrolet Corvette collided with a white Ford F150 on the Causeway just south of the Lions Gate Bridge.

Police say the drivers of both vehicles went to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“As part of the ongoing investigation, officers have reviewed dash-cam footage from a taxi that captured a white Tesla driving on the Causeway around the time of the crash,” said Const. Tania Visintin.

“We are asking the driver of that Tesla, and anyone else who may have witnessed the collision or has relevant video footage, to contact police.”

Police say they don’t believe the crash was related to drug or alcohol impairment.

Witnesses are asked to call the VPD at 604-717-4021.
