Witnesses of Gurdwara vandalism please come forward: Police

Police in Vancouver are sharing images of a vehicle and two people who were outside a Gurdwara in South Vancouver when it was allegedly vandalized on Saturday morning.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, an investigation was opened on April 19 after suspects spray-painted walls of the Khalsa Diwan Society Gurdwara on Ross Street near Marine Drive.
Police say the graffiti was in both Punjabi and English.
The VPD says the people in the released photos may have information about what happened and what the motivation was.
“We ask anyone who recognizes the people in these pictures, or the vehicle, to come forward and speak with our investigators,” Sgt. Steve Addison said in a statement.

Investigators believe that the white truck drove through the area around the time of the alleged offence — between 4 and 4:30 a.m.
“Two people, whom are believed to be associated to the truck, then walked near the front entrance of the temple. One person was wearing a yellow cap, yellow jacket, and black pants. The other was wearing a grey hoodie with black pants,” Addison said.

Anyone with information about the incident is being urged to call the VPD at 604-717-2541.
