3 taken to hospital, 1 in critical condition, after serious crash in Mission

Three patients have been taken to hospital after a serious multi-vehicle collision in Mission, the Provincial Health Services Authority says.
Spokesperson Peter Darbyshire tells 1130 NewsRadio that paramedics were called to the crash near 287th Street and Highway 7 in Mission just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Darbyshire says four ambulances were sent to the scene.
“Paramedics cared for and transported three patients to hospital, two in stable condition and one in critical condition,” he said.
Eastbound lanes on Highway 7 have been closed while police investigate.
“There is no anticipated time for fully reopening Lougheed Highway,” Corp. Dave Noon, forensic collision reconstructionist with the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (LMD-ICARS) said on X.
“Expect significant delays while we investigate. Plan accordingly.”
