Driver arrested after Surrey crash sends 4 to hospital

The driver has been arrested after a single-vehicle crash in Surrey early Sunday morning that sent four people to hospital.

Surrey Police Service Sgt. Tige Pollock says the collision happened near 103rd Avenue and Highway 17 around 2:30 a.m.

“The vehicle was in a ditch off the roadway with two parties inside, and BCEHS and Surrey Fire Service removed them from the vehicle,” Pollock told 1130 NewsRadio.

“The four occupants of the vehicle were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene.”

Pollock says the collision is still under investigation.

There were road closures in the area after the crash, but these have since been cleared.
