One Dead in Denman Island Fire

A fire on a rural property Denman Island has tragically claimed one life.

On June 3 at 3 a.m., nearly two dozen firefighters responded to the blaze on Thomas Road.

According to Denman Island Fire Rescue the fire was extinguished with approximately 5.000 gallons of water.

Comox Valley RCMP are currently investigating both the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death.

But at this point, they don’t believe anything suspicious was involved.
