Police investigating structure fire in Surrey Sunday afternoon

Police are investigating a fire at a building in Surrey Sunday afternoon.

“RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) is investigating a structure fire in the area 60 Avenue and 196 Street,” said Sgt. Tige Pollock, media relations officer for the Surrey Police Service.

“The investigation is ongoing.”

1130 NewsRadio received multiple calls reporting heavy smoke and flames in the area.

Pollock says the fire was out by 4 p.m. and no injuries have been reported.
