Surrey RCMP arrested suspect in 2022 Surrey homicide

Homicide investigators in the Lower Mainland say a man was arrested and charged in relation to a 2022 murder in Surrey.

Frank James died on August 28, 2022, at his home in the Clayton Heights neighborhood, near 76 Avenue and 188 Street.

Mounties responded to reports of a “man in medical distress” just after 11 p.m., where they found James with life-threatening injuries.

In an update Monday, The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says a 42-year old man has been charged with second-degree murder.

The suspect was arrested in Burnaby over the weekend and is scheduled to appear in court this week.

IHIT stated their investigation into James’s death is ongoing, as they believe other individuals were involved.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
