Vancouver city council plans to revitalize Chinatown

On Wednesday afternoon, Vancouver City Council approved additional funding for the Chinatown neighbourhood.
This will bring the city’s total investment to $387,000.
The funds will primarily be used for graffiti removal and prevention in the area.
An additional $17,000 has been allocated for planning the future of Chinatown Plaza.
City Councillor Lenny Zhou noted that these investments have already helped install new lighting and restore historic storefronts in the neighbourhood.
This funding builds upon the city’s ongoing action plan to revitalize the area.
Mayor Ken Sim emphasized that this work aims to build a strong foundation for the community’s future.
