Vancouver to share events safety plan after Lapu-Lapu Day tragedy

The City of Vancouver and the Vancouver Police Department are set to give an update on safety and planning for festivals and other outdoor public events.
The findings from the preliminary report after April’s Lapu-Lapu Day tragedy will be released Friday, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The joint review was ordered after the car-ramming attack killed 11 people and left dozens more injured.
The horrific tragedy has put a spotlight on safety protocols around public events in the city.
