Police locked down Delta schools

Delta police temporarily locked down Seaquam Secondary School and Cougar Canyon Elementary earlier today due to reports of a planned fight involving a weapon.
Just before 2:00 p.m., police received a report from school staff who saw five male youths wearing ski masks near Seaquam Secondary School.
Shortly after, police spotted a group of youths they believed to be the same individuals.
One of them reportedly threw an airsoft pistol into the bushes before fleeing.
Students have since been released and both schools have reopened.
Police confirmed that no fight occurred and no injuries were reported.
Officers remain on the scene searching for the youths involved.
