Surrey Police investigates gunshots Panorama Heights

The Surrey Police Service is investigating reports of gunfire shots in the Panorama Heights neighbourhood.
According to Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton from the Surrey Police Service, a house in the neighbourhood was targeted in two shootings in less than two weeks.
The first incident happened on May 13, the second time was on Sunday morning, May 25.
In both cases, police say nobody was injured. However, minor property damage to the house was reported.
“The police are looking into whether the two incidents are connected,” Houghton said.
In both incidents, the police believes the shots were fired in the middle of the night as officers were called shortly after in the early morning.
“None of the neighbors indicated that they heard shots. Many did not think the sound that they heard were [gunfire] shots. That sort of contributed, we believe, to the delay in police being called,” Houghton explained.
The Surrey Police Service says it will continue monitoring the home.
“This investigation is active and ongoing, and we have a dedicated team looking into it, and hopefully we will be able to hold people accountable,” Houghton said.
